Why does Gmail fail?

Gmail blocks normal passwords. Go to your Google Account > Security > 2-Step Verification > App Passwords, and generate a new password to use here.

Which port should I use?

587 (TLS) is standard and recommended. 465 (SSL) is for legacy secure connections. 25 is usually blocked by hosting providers.
